Congrations to David Sear on receiving an MBE this year for his services to Girls and Women’s cricket in The Queen’s Birthday Honours list!

David has been a valuable member of our club for several years, helping promote and develop young girls into cricket, with most then progressing into our Women’s section. David has worked as Kent U11 girls coach for 19 years, which in his time has seen players such as Lydia Greenway, Tammy Beaumont and Tash Farrant, who began in David’s U11s, now hav represented England and contributed to a very successful Kent Women’s team.

Regarding the award, David said: “It is a total suprise and incredibly humbling. I am truely grateful but amazed and excited that my work has been recognised in this way.”
